2015 Yamaha FZ-S Version 2 Concept

 

 Yamaha has showcased the FZ-S Version 2 Concept at the 2014 Auto Expo. This time, the update to the motorcycle would be focused on the technical aspects, rather than cosmetic. The Yamaha FZ Version 2 does show more of an aesthetic update to the FZ series of bikes. However one close look and we know what to expect from the updated Yamaha FZ, due for launch in the later half of 2014.

The things which the upgraded Yamaha FZ will carry include a new split seat which is visible on the FZ-S Concept. The bike also gets a new all digital instrument cluster and many are now tired of the existing bike’s small console. The mirrors are uniquely shaped and the concept also gets a re-designed mudguard and a slightly different exhaust. There are likely to be more changes, as we reported earlier, most of them will be technical. The upgrades to the FZ will help Yamaha fend off competition from the upcoming Suzuki Gixxer and Bajaj Pulsar 150 NS.

Engine Performance and mileage

Powering the upgraded FZ-S is the same 4 stroke, 153cc engine fed by a carburettor. Power output of the new Yamaha FZ-S Version 2 may change, company din’t given any official information. Currently the Yamaha FZ-S  can produce power of 14 Bhp at 7500 rpm and torque of 14 Nm at 6000 rpm on ride. The engine of  Yamaha FZ-S Version 2  mated with the mated with 5 manual gear box.

Safety and Comfort Features

On appearance the Yamaha FZ-S Version 2 comes with a two-tone paint job and ‘Version 2.0′ written on the front forks. It is still continuing with its rear drum brakes. It need to compete with the Suzuki Gixxer and bajaj pulsar 150 NS. Yamaha FZ-S Version 2 Concept Bike equipped with new split seat, new all big digital instrument cluster, unique shaped stylish mirrors, re-designed mudguard and slightly different exhaust.
